Sunday church at the mission
We spent Sunday relaxing at the house and going to the mission. Not a homeless mission like we see today in the cities of America but an old school outpost mission of days gone by. The mission Delores is the oldest structure in San Fransisco still standing and a really neat experience.
We got there in time to catch a bit of the Spanish Catholic mass in taking place at the Basilica next door. Experience the self guided tour of the mission, basilica, and cemetery if you are in town. It was a highlight for us and the tamales they served after service were a bonus.
We also took some time out to read our daily Bible reading in the cemetery at the end. The whole experience gave a good backdrop to Hebrews 11.
